This episode is a conversation with John MacInnes of the Isle of Iona.
John has lived on the island for the vast majority of his life, coming from a long line of Iona MacInneses.
Our conversation ranges from observations on the new Iona breakwater development, his school days, the nature of the land on Iona, the former ministers of Iona Kirk, training at agricultural college, tractor adventures in the centre of Glasgow, the coming and going of people from Iona, the politics of Gaelic language and lots more.
It was a delight to speak with John, he’s someone I’ve longed to speak with for many years.
